Tooth Extraction

Tooth extraction is the process of removing a tooth from its socket, called a socket, in the bone. Generally, tooth extraction is resorted to in cases where treatment is not possible.

Tooth Breakage During Tooth Extraction
Although breaking a tooth may seem like a scary situation for the patient, it is not actually a serious thing.
There are various reasons why a tooth breaks:
Thick jaw bone,
The roots of the back teeth are thick and wide. For this reason, it can be difficult to grasp and take in all at once. In this case, the tooth is broken and removed in a few times.
Shooting becomes difficult in the elderly because their jaw lacks flexibility. Thus, tooth breakage occurs.
Fragility may occur during extraction due to the weakness of the tooth structure.
Local anesthesia is applied during tooth extractions. Broken teeth are taken into pieces and cleaned by the dentist. Therefore, it is not important whether the tooth is broken or extracted.
